Trouble is that contracts are not appearing ,Septa is keeping this company afloat ,lock /stock and barell.  .-----  10 million spent on equipment related assets in anticipation os sales , / 30% increase in manpower in 15 months , and revenue dropping as result of no contracts. Not a good scenario. -----------   It would seem that pilot projects are still in progress(we will never know) ,and with the company active in trade shows ,there is signs of life ,however sales are very very sparse.-------  This idea of actually loosing potential contracts to save the company technology has totally baffled me for quite some time. The approach drives me crazy,however Dyment runs the company, not me , and he must have reason via potentially large contracts ,to adopt this mode of operating. We shall see .

But presumably the 10 million in inventory isn't really a dead loss and could be "sold on" if sales don't materialize. There would likely be a residual value to that inventory and quite possibly close to its book value, -(or more), given the nature of shortages everywhere. Case in point: current parts shortages in the bus world!  The other thing that must be considered: ...more

Because of supply chain issues, I would say it was prudent to secure components for potential orders, DD must be confident of getting orders and $10M of inventory is not a lot should they land the "big" one, if not, most of it could be exhuasted in a few quarters. Where did you find out about the 30% increase in personel in 15 months? And what is the total headcount now?
