1. Zdaas LLC won the Mobile CCTV System (Phase 3) bid (Page 30)

2. Gatekeeper maintenance contract was increased by $1,143,265 USD to account for the increased scope of work pertaining to Phase 2 and 3 installations (Page 41)

 

It's rather puzzling Gatekeeper wasn't awarded the bid. Is it possible Zdaas will just install Gatekeeper hardware instead of Gatekeeper themselves? Is that really worth the hassle for SEPTA to just save 24K USD?

Interesting. Where did you get the numbers to calcuate the $24K differential?

I calculated the difference from the bid results which you can see at the following link... https://www5.septa.org/wp-content/uploads/bid/23-00139-AMZK_Bid-Tab.pdf The more I think about it and based on my research, it's most likely Gatekeeper hardware will be installed by Zdaas since they seem to be a wholesaler/installer/solutions provider. I can't fathom it any other way given

It's odd that Zdaas would be awarded this. I recall looking at the bidders before and noted Zdaas was an IT company based on their branding on their website. I'm certain the hardware will come from GSI. I wonder if Zdaas already has business with SEPTA or not.

     Thought about it a bit and, IF Zdaas will be ordered the contract, wouldn't it be nice if GSI bought the company. They only had 15 million in business when I looked and obviously would be a benefit to GSI! They fit rather nicely one might think! GLTA LONGS, Didn't they get SEPTA by buying a company in the first place? Just thoughts!
