Interview with Doug on Jan. 3

From Cameron's Discord channel,,he has a scheduled interview on January 3rd. Perhaps it will be posted on YT the day of or the next day. Maybe it will be posted on Rumble as well as he wants to have simultaneious media outlets given the recent unfair cancellation by YT.

Yes: Good to see Cameron back, watched his take on the financials a (few times) 3 , over today , and he does a great job. ----  Absolutely fantastic corporate results from every metric (10) that I have on my spreadsheet. --As Cameron mentioned a few times,(it's just unfortunate Dyment took his allotted bonus of  1.120 million, all in 1 quarter, and yes contrary to other posters ,it ...more

It's a good strategic move to pre-announce this bonus that will impact Q1 2024. Investors new to this story can decide if the bonus is a deterrent for them for purchasing shares.Current shareholders can decide if this one time bonus changes their conviction. The market hates surprises, imagine if the bonus was taken in Q4 2023 or not pre-announced and taken in Q1 2024.

To your point, you are absolutely correct, you just answered your own statement . -----''market hates surprises''.---The 1.40 million bonus was issued Sept 2/2020 ,option window of 5 years to excersise .  Only 280 million  has been taken in over 3 years, THEN, ALL OF A SUDDEN ,  , within the time frame of one of the companies best financial reports, ALL of the ...more

My typo was indeed (incorrect)in the former post  . The amount excersized in the 3 year periond is 280,000  ''thousand'' .  not million, as was incorrectly stated.  That's significant,  I must stand corrected.

Considering the bonus has been accrued as at Aug 31, 2023, it won't impact the P&L in Q1 2024 for sure. The bonus payable balance was not clearly disclosed on a separate line item on the balance sheet in Q3 2023, but it seems to have been in the AR and AP balances, which would explain in part the decrease in Q4, due to the reclass. The expense seems to have been recorded in 2021, following ...more

Been down that road already ,my friend . Amount oweing as of Aug 31 was 1.12 mil,-------SUBSEQUENT, (AFTER)  AUG31, was when the bonus was excersized,it DOES  effect Q1 /24  ,We have already talked about the in previous posts.
Comment by alemyre on Dec 30, 2023 9:34pm
Well, it will affect cash but not P&L. Otherwise it wouldn't have been accrued as at Aug 31, 2023. Let's see if Doug is confirming this on his next interview with Cameron. :)

This reference would concur with your thoughts: Bonus and profit-sharing payments to employees are  a)not determined until after the financial statements are issued for the relevant period.  b)usually reported as current liabilities at the reporting date.  c)are a distribution of profit, so are debited directly to retained earnings.  d)not considered to be wages and ...more

The fact that it's on the year end statements as a bonus payable I really don't think a subsequent transaction to pay off that liability is a big deal. The bonus is already earned and effectively the same as if they had a $1.1 million balance on the LOC and paid it out in F24 Q1. Nothing burger. In fact, unlike some, I see it as a positive indicator that F24 Q1 is going to be big top and ...more

As an alternative the CFO would likely know the answer if someone wants to email and ask GSI directly. The LA contract GSI bid on would be another good question to ask DD. Just not sure he would want to comment about it.
