Timing of today’s NR

I very much hope conference participants won’t view the timing as “manufactured / too coincidental”.
My personal preference would have been a release a few days down the road.

There's always the risk of doing what one might be considered a timed "soft" NR. Given the big picture we know that GSI is quoted on SEPTA's Alstom and CRRC rail contracts and this NR must pertain to either Alstom or CRRC. someone took "sell the news" too literally, but it wasn't really news to long-time shareholders given that some regulars here already pointed out the SEPTA bid documents for those projects (granted it was never officially announced) again why you don't really pay too much attention to price movements, since even just 5-figures can drastically move the price above the base. 80 ...more

Price movements are interesting to watch to understand investors / traders behaviour. Valuations are the key here. If Money Mark confirms that 2024 EPS is much higher than what we believe it is, then it becomes a buying opportunity again as the reward to risk would drastically improve and GSI at the 80's would move from being significanlty to severely undervalued.

that is true, whatever we have right now is cheap if those targets are hit It's hard to appreciate the opportunities at the time. When I added another batch in my FHSA (lol) at the start of the year, it felt bad at the time that I bought the "top" at 54 cents when it dipped back to 50 cents (almost -10%), but in hindsight you can look at that as a bargain even though it was ...more

 ronron Typically only retail tries to buy at the lowest possible price (usually a futile effort) and shies away from buying at the highs. Institutions and long(er) term investors don’t care where they buy as long as it’s well below their future valuation model. As far as having enough of a "comfortable" position goes ...
