No news

Why is it trending down?

Fear selling, day traders, and some people just don't know how to be patient and hold. Good by price.
Comment by ramman1 on Jul 22, 2024 12:12pm
Very light trading today getting close to financials, so (there is no fear selling ) ,day trading is not evident with many brokerage houses trading in low volumes, hardly day traders ,and I would say  the current investors, many of which have 1% positions ,''are being very patient'', so kind of a silly comment in general .---What we are seeing , if anything , is '' ...more

Just as the recent rise to 70 with no news, we have a retracement with no news. Until Q3 or other news is released, this is noise, a random walk.
Comment by ramman1 on Jul 22, 2024 2:42pm
The rise to  .72 last week was on 3 times today's volume, thats what's called noise . Today's activity, may be called a ''whisper''.--A random walk down with no confidence , a bit of ''wait see''.

not familiar with TSX.V norms since this is the only venture ticker I own, but I dislike not having earnings announced in advance. Been checking daily the past week when I'd prefer to just be more passive Yahoo doesn't have the deadlines correct, guess I'll check back on Friday as now it's being listed as Jul 23, 2024 - Jul 26, 2024.

GSI's website does show this range for Q3 press releases 2023  19Jul 2022  02Aug 2021  26Jul 2020  06Jul 2019  23Jul 2018  31Jul 2017  01Aug 2016 12Jul Press Releases - Gatekeeper Systems (gatekeeper-systems.com)

All those Q3 Releases have been on a Monday, Tuesday, or a Wednesday. Maybe tomorrow will follow the pattern. Hahaha
Comment by fergus2 on Jul 23, 2024 6:15pm
I appreciate your sense of humour Dem004. Perchance, if tomorrow is the day, then it refutes the Monday Tuesday pattern. But if you  assume Monday, Tuesday, Wednesday in aggregate, that  comes to 60% of the work week which does give a slight edge to the predicability factor. Personally, I would include Thursday in the aggregate, then you're up to an 80% chance at 20% a pop for each ...more

Given that the AGM is this Friday, it would be good business practice to get it out tomorrow.
Comment by Ciao on Jul 24, 2024 9:19pm
Lastly, I don't know how GSI is able to have their AGM more than 6 months after their fiscal year end of Aug. 31 violating the time requirement. "The TSX Venture Exchange requires a listed Issuer to hold an AGM in every calendar year.  The TSX requires a listed Issuer to hold an AGM within 6 months of their fiscal year end." https://cascorp.ca/faq/#:~:text=The%20TSX%20Venture ...more

A fair question to pose to Doug in my opinion.  This isn't the Wild West, there are rules.  I believe it was last year that Doug had the AGM earlier in the year and his reasoning was that he was doing it to abide by the big exchange (tsx) rules. Suggestive of eventually getting off the venture.  I don't know what to expect from these q3 earnings and it appears the market ...more

it appears at least on the venture they are only bound by the 15 month rule. But I'm no expert on securities law 4. Shareholder Meetings 4.1 Every Issuer must hold an annual meeting of its Shareholders by the earlier of the time required by applicable corporate or securities legislation and 18 months after: (a) the date of its incorporation; or (b) the date of its certificate of amalgamation, ...more

You're correct. I mis-read my reference. 15 months seems pretty lax. Looks like earnings will be out next week to meet TSXV requirements.
Comment by davewho on Jul 25, 2024 9:58am
since there seems to be a large variation in Q3 release dates I suspect it has more to do with the actual audit being completed. The CFO would have had the results finished weeks ago and likely DD has already seen them. The results could go back and forth a couple times between the company and the auditor until both sides are happy. Venture exchanges (the TSX-V and CSE) require annual audited ...more

I believe quarterly results are not audited.
Comment by davewho on Jul 25, 2024 4:41pm
thanks you would be correct. Appears some companies do audit Q's and some don't. GSI starts each Q report with a disclaimer saying they are condensed and unaudited. Good call.
Comment by ramman1 on Jul 25, 2024 9:41am
Maybe put the financials out 1 hr before the start of the AGM. That way no-one has time to digest the numbers and ask questions ??
Comment by ronron on Jul 25, 2024 10:24am
better than releasing it next week AFTER the meeting because of the implications it gives off, but at this point it's a likely scenario. Honestly would have been fine to release it after AGM if it was announced ahead of time, but now it gives the impression that they don't want to talk about Q3 earnings during AGM which obviously does not reflect well. Definitely a lot of shareholders ...more

Doug said he was getting the team together by the end of May to see how the company could execute (gap analysis) it's strategy to get to $100M in rev. Would it be too much to expect that he would present the business plan at the AGM?
Comment by ramman1 on Jul 25, 2024 3:02pm
Certainly in all your expect(s) ,really does not matter to me when results are out. Likely matters to a potential fund or significant entity who may want to be at the meeting . Asking questions via fresh knowledge (financials)  if you want to buy 2-3 million shares ,would likely be preffered .--  BUT: To get to your further point about this special ''team together meeting/end of ...more
Comment by Ciao on Jul 25, 2024 3:24pm
I'm sure there are at least monthly management meetings. Anyone's guess, but I would say the May team meeting would have emphasis on PaaS / recurring SaaS rev given that the data center just opened up.
Comment by ramman1 on Jul 25, 2024 3:34pm
That's sort of the area I was thinking as well, being there are targets  , HOWEVER: In ( my error,)the target (10000) did NOT  have an actuall time limit ,so there becomes a lot of room to ''plod'' away at numbers ,with no set time . That being said , $30 U.S per month/per bus  for full safety and monitoring coverage ,to a bus operator (s)  already having ...more

Ciao, I don't often chime in other conversation. However since being involved in GateKeeper going back a few years now one certain poster has always maintained a negative point of view towards the company sales team and from time to time posts conspiracy theories about other topics related to GateKeeper. It would certainly not be in Dougs best interests or GateKeepers to release financial ...more

TS, yes I'm aware of the negativity that one shareholder has towards the sales team. To that end, Doug shored up the sales and marketing (?) team in Q2, once again that led to some higher expenses in the quarter when compared to the previous year. I can't see Doug "sabotaging" the stock and his reputation by releasing poor earnings hours before the AGM. The deadline to report ...more
