There is no doubt that the odds have swung in favour of DSM massively now. We just need the judge to do the right thing but with much greater scrutiny on them now you would expect that to be the case. It is also reaffirming for DSM because it means that there are other companies out there that want what they have. It means their EPL is worth something if they were willing to try and bribe and ...more

If they win their license back, and it certainly looks like the court is being given a clear runway to do so, does the company have a case to sue the ministry for lost time and expenses for this criminal act perpetrated on them? Just dosn't seem fair that a few corrupt officials can set a companies progress back years, then the gov'mt say we're sorry and just walk away.. Somebody ...more

I don't think I would push it,if they get the mine back.Be thankful,if it happens.Don't want bad relations with govt officials.

I was thinking the same that they could go after the Nambian Gov for expenses and lost time but would be hard to prove and as others have said it would costly certainly erode relationship. Assuming they get the EPL back then maybe they can use the situation as leverage sometime in the future to expedite progress to mining license.
