Century Lithium Corp > My take on the new financing.

My take on the new financing.

Firstly, to all the people who are crying pump & dump. Just stop. I don't think you know how a pump & dump works. That is when you promote a company to dump shares of stock you ALREADY OWN!. You don't come in and buy shares at above the market price to just turn around and sell them at a loss. I mean c'mon have just a little common sense. A deal like this is done to get in at a lower level then where you think the shares will be trading in the future.

Secondly, I am curious about the timing of this raise. The company has been stating that the balance sheet was in very good shape to carry through all the way to the BFS. Is the dilution something to be thrilled about , no. But at least the deal was done at a premuim to the market. The full warrant is not the best either, but again at least it was only out 24 months and at a premium to the current price. That 24 month time frame is important in my opinion.

Lastly this is what I think it all means. The pilot plant is proving out nicely and with the current price of lithium markets this project is going have an absloutley huge NPV when the BFS is done. So Cypress was approached by a familiar company to get in before at a beneficial price KNOWING it was the last chance to do so. I think Cypress was willing to listen/accommodate them to get cash to speed up this process. I think this means a quicker time to a listing on a major exchange. I also thinks this raises the possibility of aquiring more land in the area. Most notably Spearmints property that has been talked about being spun off that borders Cypress' land. Spearmint has drilled that property and came out with some good results. The 24 month time on the warrants also has me thnking merger or acqusition from the bigger neighbor to the west.  All in all if you are in junior development miners dilution is going to happen. Cypress has not been that bad on the share count front. So everyone sit tight, buckle up, as Cypress just told you that in the next 24 months, probably less you will be greatly rewarded.

Hi AtoZsports, You are the only ONE so happy about this dilution, and cheer for the poor management! tiger
Comment by AtoZsports on Jan 13, 2022 9:10pm
I doubt I am the only one. I stated it was not ideal, however the extra cash opens up plenty of possibilites that are positve. If you can't deal with some dilution while investing in development mining companies you are in the wrong place Tiger. This poor management as you put it has acquired the land, made a discovery, gotten the project to a stellar PFS stage, construted an operating pilot ...more

The issue is more of trust I think. We all agree (or anyone logically) that cash will be required for a mine if they end up going alone at it. It was only weeks ago that they stated they had more than enough and strong treasury for the following year. It's very poor credibility to state that then do a raise weeks later. Investment recommendations are given out based on these statements. I ...more

I have stated the timing is curious, It does conflict with some recent statements. The company has been much more active getting the word out. It was a complaint of the message board for quite some time that the company never communicated. I too liked the 6ix presentation.  A better price may have been achived post pilot plant results. So you have to ask yourself what might prompt a raise at ...more

No idea on the spearmint option but it's possible. Land package is already enormous to last decades. Agree on the neighbour

Going by the lithium prices, a fire is going to be lit under most land packages

timing is not curious ... interest rates will rise and times for exploration-stocks or develeopement-stories will get harder.. better catch more money in  front dome headwinds.. all these lithium-stocks will not rise for forever and witout interuptions

Guess he is out of the stock on the pump to 2.30 and is trying to convince us he is a long term shareholder..must be either a buddy of Willoughby and his gang..
Comment by AtoZsports on Jan 13, 2022 9:50pm
The raise was in USD @$2 so it was above the market price. So what pump to $2.30? Never met the guy. Feel free to sell your shares. I am a long term shareholder. Do you ever get tired of being wrong?
Comment by GGDawg on Jan 14, 2022 6:38am
why do you say that the offer was in USD? The deal was done in Vancouver and everything tells me the 2$ share price is on the venture exchange which means share were offered at a discount to the trading price of 2,19$ at the time. Very very bad deal... I'm on the verge of pulling my chips of the table here...

It is Canadian funds. There was no premium.
Comment by AtoZsports on Jan 14, 2022 9:56am
Read the press release. It would specify the sale price in CAD if the deal was price in Canadian dollars. It does not. Every press release I have seen states all prices is $. That tells me the $2 /share and the total value was all expressed in USD.
Comment by yakattack on Jan 14, 2022 3:16pm
No. It is Canadian. You can verify the financials on SEDAR. Canadian dollars. This is why the stock dropped to 2 CAD on news.

A lot of people here were squealing and selling during the 1.70 dip while I was holding (and buying, if I hadn't miscounted my reserves (I go from obsessing to forgetting I'm holding bonds), would've added 0.5% to my portfolio!). Was this retarded? Yes.  Is it something junior stocks do all the time, also yes. We got diluted, I counted my reserves properly this time and bought a ...more

So at any rate, this is just something small companies often do because they think they need BIG BOY INVESTORS, and because they're scared the bottom will fall out of the market. In some ways they're right, but it's definitely true they could've just secured credit lines.  They've definitely cost us money, but it's also a buying oppertunity.
Comment by cwDeici on Jan 14, 2022 11:02am
The company screwed us, for fairly bad, but not entirely horrible reasons. The investment thesis remains the same, so lick your wounds and buy more. Just my 2c, but I'm usually right. Otoh there are hotter lithium stocks I'm glad I held too, but this one has DEEP VALUE.
Comment by cwDeici on Jan 14, 2022 6:50pm
Welp, I added to my position about 50% around these levels (mostly after the drop, but also before the rise before the drop). It's working out great so far, in the end having faith in engineers is usually worth it.
Comment by cwDeici on Jan 14, 2022 6:52pm
The levels earlier today maybe this was a dead cat bounce before prolonged sluggish movement, but we'll see. I think she's showing strength

As I posted earlier, glad to see somebody agreeing with me on the reasoning behind the new financing. And the press release clearly indicates it's in CAD$, not USD$: https://www.cypressdevelopmentcorp.com/news/2022-news/cypress-development-announces-12-million-bought-deal-financing/ "not for dissemination in the USA", and it's for "short form prospectus to be filed in ...more
