Hi guys;
In case you haven't seen this yet, SDTC (Sustainable Development Technology Canada) has just announced its latest funding round for clean technology is open until October 19. Lignol often (almost always) gets funding from these guys, as you well know.
SDTC’s SD Tech Fund is accepting Statements of Interest from August 31st to October 19th, 2011
The SD Tech Fund invests in late-stage development and pre-commercial demonstration of clean technologies by Canadian companies in a range of innovative solutions across all industries that address Climate Change, Clean Air, Water and Soil.
SDTC supports technologies that address the challenges of Climate Change, Clean Air, Soil and Water, including technology solutions focused on these current priority areas:
- Natural Resources: Mitigate environmental impacts associated with Canada’s natural resource sector including forestry, “green mining”, and cleaner fossil fuels
- Clean Energy: Enable cleaner energy production and improved energy efficiency of the built environment, transportation and industrial processes
As part of the application criteria, SDTC believes it is critical to build consortia that represent the full spectrum of a technology’s supply chain, involving researchers, product developers, manufacturers, distributors, retailers and end customers.

Anyways, I'm just posting this because it's good to see that SDTC is still funded by government and funding companies. Even though, according to their timelines, funds would only go out to the winners next summer, we might hope for an extra million bucks or two...
