Morgan Stanley Selling today

As we enter the last hour of trading today, Morgan Stanley accounts are the laregest net sellers, with 352,200 shares sold today out of a total volume of 1,251,000. These have been coming out in 100 or 200 share lots, so likely an Iceberg order that is showing a small amount on offer and continually updating as the orders close.

Given the Morgan Stanley accounts were long through January and February to the tune of over 4.7 million shares at an average acquistion price of $2.48, the attempt by some of these accounts to reduce their exposure at the $2.20 level again suggests that the confidence today that they will see a $2.61 buyout has fallen to the point they are taking, on average, a 28 cent per share loss.

So if Morgan Stanley ahd purchased 4.7 million shares how many did they purchase yesterday and seeling 352,200 today seems minute also the share price was much lower yesterday so your conclusion seems like only 1 possibility

Hello Pivotcatalyst: On Thursday, Morgan Stanley accounts bought none and sold 79,000 shares of LIX. For the month of February, the Morgan Stanley accounts bought 2,892,400 at an average price of $2.499 and sold 254,933 at an average price of $2.367. Does that help inform your analysis, or can I get you additional datapoints?

Who cares about micro trading??? One simple fact is there are give or take 100 millions outstanding  shares and the majority is keeping their shares otherwise we would have seen a higher turnover in transaction volume.....so the way it's going the deal should close no later then March 9!  What you are seeing is microplay that clouds the big picture here! Who cares about lithium ...more
