Not adding up

Something doesn't make sense here. Why are people selling with all the hype a about a buyout??
Comment by Lambosntendies on Jun 16, 2023 6:05pm
1. Not everyone thinks a buyout is imminent. People with a low DCA may be looking to sell as we are in a consolidation phase right now that could either take us high or lower depending on market sentiment. I would like to add that is the Sentiment of a very small group of people. Keep in mind anyone with 100,000 shares or more has the ability to dramatically change the stock price if they sell at ...more

Just to add.. I do believe a buyout is imminent. I'm not selling a single share.

I agree, Rogers post recently. "For my FB Gold Miners followers/investors.    The following is a great reference tool regarding future discussions and comparisons.   Cynthia has always maintained that LAURION's Ishkoday Gold, Silver, Copper, and Zinc Project (once put into production) is well-positioned, with its LOW-Cost producer prospect, due to LAURION's ...more

Not sure what crystal balls are out there. But managing a corporation my self, September of this year would be my final target of sale and announcement coming at beginning of August 2023.

Blacky,   They are not LME longs obviously. They are Looking to make a quick buck.  It didn’t sell and they they jumped ship. (Like after the AGM)     The majority of us here in this forum  are LME longs who have had this stock for several years or more.   I, and  with a lot of others here  will wait this out no matter what the stock price is,   I ...more

I agree with this.  I still have room in my TFSA and adding shares every chance I get.

I kind of on side buyout is not coming soon. First reason there is always leaks that one is coming. Especially with jv's type stocks. So I would think if one was coming there would be a run up to buyout price. Second why would a company pay like $8 a share when they can just buy at 55 cents. At certain point when cross a certain level of ownership would have to declare this holding.  But ...more

"Insiders" own 80% I think it was mentioned here that Cynthia and Roger directly/indirectly control about 50% You, me and all the longs aren't selling. I think, at most, someone might be able to round-up about 25% on the open market, but would have to pay way more than $0.55
Comment by matlas on Jun 17, 2023 12:57pm
JoJo, now way can round up 25% on open market. There is only about 20% not owned by F&F. Of that, I am sure that a good half is owned by folks like us who are not selling, so maybe 10%. More to the point, nobody is going to start buying stock unless they make a deal with Cynthia, and by then BO would have to be anounced. If they buy shares without making a deal first, what do they do with ...more

My post was more about signs the sale maybe imminent. I believe we will see a run up in stock price before that happens. I think both side will probably have leaks, and freebie shares way under selling price will be taken away.
Comment by matlas on Jun 17, 2023 2:13pm
Yes! Yes! Bring on those leaks!
Comment by Lambosntendies on Jun 17, 2023 4:31pm
Even when the leaks start (if they haven't already and brought us here from the .30s) I think there are still some who may be skeptical. Lme has been a bit of a rollercoaster in terms of the stock price. Even if the rumours are going around those who believe them only have so much liquidity, that could contribute to the "up and down" we have seen lately. Excited to see the PR for a ...more

There has been a number of large share purchase that have occurred in last weeks.  Let see if that continues.  I been trying to google what is like common buyer premium for like buyout of small junior. Not much. They do claim average for all buyouts 10-25%. I think but with no real basis of knowledge think no one would offer 8 when it could be bought for $4, right now we are at 55 ...more

The answer is, because the only people hyping the buyout are people on bull boards and Reddit with absolutely no idea of what is really happening behind the closed doors of the boardroom. There isn't even a self interested brokerage house with real experience covering and hyping this stock. Those that have owned this stock for years bought in because of a tip and a lot of their own due ...more

I don't get your logic that is someone was buying up stock would it rocket up really fast. Offering let's say $8 per share for whole company would be instant, making that guy buying 25 mill shares look slow increase. Crossing the 10% threshold is irrelevant, no one is going to care when the team say already owns say 5%,10% or 20 percent makes a cash offer for rest of company. C is not ...more

In regards to an entity "legging in" it is entirely possible and the stock would not neccassarily rocket.  Warren buffett was extremely tactful in buying a few of the companies he purchaed earlier in his career. he would purchase shares between himself and partners a little at a time over the course of several years. So not to attract attention or raise suspision, Buffett would ...more
