Wow, volume is up to 285k, was high out of the open.  Does someone know something and is loading up?   I don't usually get too excited but can't help but wonder if this might be an indication that something is coming down the line.  Will be interesting to see if this continues over the next few days.

What I wonder, and again my Tinfoil Hat comes out..... How does 300,000 shares move without a change in price. It feels like someone wants to buy a large chunk and then chat with someone they know who have a large chunk. Maybe tax planning for families, shifting from taxable to tax sheltered avenues.  Transferring to family members ect.... Just seems suspect when last week there was only

Looks like TD Securities is the one doing a lot of buying.

The fact that it is mainly coming from one brokerage can also lend credence to Wmaver's theory. For example, could be some guy effectively transferring shares from his unregistered account to TFSA for wife or other family member. Cannot do that as a direct transfer-have to sell for cash, gift cash and then have other person contribute and buy. Having buy and sell at same time from both sides

Except that in this case the shares, 150K & 135K were purchased from every brokerage house EXCEPT for TD, so they were buying on the market. The 150K was made up of 17 trades with 7 different houses.

Matlas, I agree with your theory, however, National Bank was the big seller in  the early going. TD bought big lump, but other brokerages involved in other purchases from National Bank sale.

Couple of solid buys this morning . Someone at TD is confident as the first buy of 135000 shares and a second of 150000 shares. They raised the price by "only" 3 cents as there are enough people thinking they are taking profits at this level. Here's the Tier II currently  [img][/img]
