Gold continues upward momentum

Guessing it hasn't gone unnoticed that gold continues to strengthen momentum towards new highs. this correlates to consumating a deal prior to a breakout.

I think this is true. the big money will come when gold flies I just hope LME is ready to catch the $$$

Gold is following LME's example....  it jumps.... then dumps....

at least gold can rebound, we'll be stuck below .50 until this thing sells likely now. someone really doesnt want us above .50 theres been a huge wall the last week

Zoom out. Gold is trending up. im hoping we see $2200 in the next few months.

Oh ya, zooming out on gold is good.  if you zoom out to the 1 year chart here even with all the positive news were in the red and went through a PP dilution again. Im just saying I do not think the SP is going to run pre-BO (which I hope is relatively soon) because there is no shareholder value here until that happens

Optimal shareholder value?

I'm not so sure we will see a buyout anytime soon. it was stated, an MRE is required to move forward. ALOT of drilling needs to be done before an MRE can be completed. maybe 2-3 yrs worth of drilling. twin falls property needs drilling.  yes, it was said that the drilling can be done by someone else (buyer) but I don't believe LME will dispose of the property at a discount so ...more

Ya, Just too many signals that are mixed.  The only thing that still does not make any sense is the financial advisory due diligence by USCG and the special committee formation....why would either of those things be in motion if they planned to do another 2+ years of drilling.  IMO I dont think Cynthia survives another 2 years worth of shareholder voting if they don't sell.  ...more

I agree about USGC...... has to eventually come a time where a disposition happens..... Hell if your going to stay another 2 years stay till the end till they build the mine lol.  The quietness is also a very disillusioning.... the only thing we can do now is have patience.  Hope for a 7:03am News release before the week ends.
Comment by Stepinup on Dec 05, 2023 7:38pm
my thought is the MRE was requested (demanded as it seems) during the due diligence process.  so they needed cash to prove they have it in them for another series of drilling. maybe this is a tactic to say, "ya, we can keep drilling. No problem, we have lots of cash. But.... if you are going to wait another 2-3 yrs for us to give you an MRE, then the price will keep going up!"& ...more

Can you or anyone else on the board explain to me (like I'm 5) the business case for this company to get bought out for billions? I'm not trying to be negative, I'm genuinely intrigued by the idea and I'd like a realistic explanation. Is the general theory that the land package has a lot more unexplored gold and the information is being held so tight lipped??  I'd love ...more

I mean someone can probably explain this more technically.  if they do indeed have a mineral resource estimate at 10m + geos and the property is located near infrastructure (major highway etc and town relatively close) with potential for open pit mining it becomes an attractive target.  I think the biggest thing is how accessible all the gold is and it seems that's the case   ...more

I understand that every situation is different, but we all know the Great Bear Resources story.  According to the article below Great Bear was sold without an MRE, but the first MRE done by Kinross after the sale inlcudes an indicated 2.7M GEO's in and open pit and an inferred 2.3M GEO's in a combination of open-pit and underground.  The article also states that the MRE used a ...more

Interesting back and forth.  Everything valid in my view except the notion that Cynthia wouldn't have ongoing shareholder support in the future.  99.5% of shareholders cast their votes in her favour at the AGM and that's been consistent since the outset.  LME is Cynthia and Cynthia is LME. I've always tried to avoid specualtion on pricing and timing.  My view as a ...more

I’m confused:  I thought it was stated that an MRE would 100% be happening next year by: Steve on this forum An official Press Release Cynthia at the AGM I was under the impression that it is what the PP funds were going to be used for.   Also: Gold is on pace for new all time highs The 2023 assay results should be the best we have ever seen (they ...more

Personally I think the MRE talk is more on the " business as usual" side of things...until it isnt.  They had a relatively small drilling campaign this year, why not do way more if the plan was MRE in short order? They didn't NEED to raise money through another PP. I think the PP is just raising money because they can and the economy is uncertain so why not take advantage. MRE ...more

I believe we talked this MRE item in previous posts.  Funds were secured to finance additional drilling; scheduled to begin in 2024.  I don't recall seeing a committment that the MRE would be completed by LME in 2024.  The sentiment that I picked up was that LME would sell to a bigger player (mid-level rather then Junior) who would complete the drilling, create the MRE ...more

This is taken from the latest PR, " Against the backdrop of its recently completed, over-subscribed private placement of flow-through shares, LAURION continues to be well-positioned to advance the Ishkoday Project. The use of proceeds from the financing, which amount to approximately $2.88 million, will include activities that will support the preparation of a new technical report for ...more

MRE is planned for 2024.  Last poster is right, lifted straight out of the pre AGM PR.
