selling is the worst decision you can make right now. Especially at these prices.

Thanks for posting!    “The NI43-101 Report*, completed by SGS Geological, shows potential resources range up to 12M ounces of which an estimated 2.5M ounces has been defined through drilling. Assuming $2,400/oz, the estimated value of proven in-ground assets is valued at around $6 Billion. There is a consensus among market analysts that gold prices are forecasted to trend higher ...more

document makes sense for a broker to show their network      let the broker do their work     buyers dont pay exploration corps for inferred resources      if we can get 250 for the 2.5m geo that would be a terrific outcome  any tempted to go hound the broker noted on that doc should think better of it      anything that distracts from ...more

“buyers dont pay exploration corps for inferred resources" So those just go for free? Even though they make up about 80% of our effective mre!?
Comment by Planthouse on Dec 02, 2024 9:24am
Generally, inferred resources are valued at a fraction of the spot gold price, in the past between $10-$40 per ounce. Since gold has gone up so much over the past year, it's reasonable to think the baseline may be more like $20-$50 per ounce, but it's hard to tell what they will come up with as that number is influenced by many factors. If we use your numbers, but plug in that smaller ...more

Planthouse I agree with your math and the underlying assumptions that support it. Good going. For those who care to take the time to research the prices paid in previous acquisitions per geo the link below is a reliable report going back to 2012 that can shed some light on the assumptions that Planthouse made in his post. Of particular value is the section titled: Gold Acquisitions by ...more

after a sleep I will add that this is hardly a white elephant      a broker has a term sheet for a deal they are selling .  .   .    .   .   .   what a shock

Very interesting.  I suspect half the people here will assume this is fake and the other half will assume it's real.  Hence we will have buyer AND sellers, and the market will operate as intended.   I noticed on the 2nd page at the bottom left there is a control number. To me that looks like a version code which tells us the date the doc was created.  Oct 4, 2024 ...more

precisely        if anything it is confirmation that lme is deeply discounted today regardless of the valuation scenario you favour      if you are able it is an excellent buy at 2x this price      fill your boots

With the new US Capital information i have seen about the Ishkoday Mining group.  Heres how i see it. IMO We know Ishkoday Mining group was formed to purchase LME (someone is at the table) and the goal is pay  LME shareholders, delist and go private. IMG will be made up of a number of investors. How many who knows.  Is IMG still looking for 1, 2 or 3 more investors ...more

Up for discussion here: If most of the board is just simply going to re-invest into IMG and reap the lion's share of the value in the Ishkoday, could it be hypothesized that they have intentionally NOT done an MRE in order for IMG to make a semi-lowball offer to LME shareholders?  That they, in fact, WANT most of the GEO's to be inferred at this stage, in order for IMG pay an overall ...more

I wondered about this when I first saw this document and reached out to Doug and he reassured me that Cynthia wasn't going to have any involvement with IMG beyond a consultant role, that she wouldn't have any investment in IMG.
Comment by ogey14 on Dec 02, 2024 7:26pm
I highly doubt Cynthia/Roger will reinvest and have their money tied up in this project again. They're somewhat old and there's more to life than making more money. And more obviously, they'll already be hella rich from this buyout, talking atleast a $100 mil
Comment by Sailingsunset on Dec 02, 2024 9:05pm
After the sale they are going on a nice long sail. As committed as Cynthia has been to the Ishkoday her tenure is nearly complete. Both her and Roger will be happy to move onto their next chapter.

Soon. The word with absolutely no measurable or definable meaning. An empty word filled only with the hopes and dreams of the people reading it.  Rather than try and figure out what you mean by soon SS - I'm going to say thank you for confidently expressing that you believe a deal will get done. If you are informed and correct  - that can only mean that this is being wrapped up - a ...more
