It's a good proxy for most mines in the Murchison District in Western Australia which is the Worlds #1 gold producer.
WGX continues to find gold at excellent grades all the way down to 1400 m below the floor of the open pit and you can view schematics of Big Bell and its exploration resukts at this link..
Note also that Big Bell orebody grows with strike increased by 150m with drilling success.
Adds 400,000 oz to resource base – now 16.8mt @ 3.13g/t for 1.69 million oz.
So, 400,000 ounces divided by 150 m = 2650 ounces per vertical foot .
NOA 7/8 has been drilled down to 275 m and remains open at both depth and strike.
2018 43-101 of 114,000 ounces was down to just 125 ft below the pit and open at depth and strike ( ie strike distance only partial ).
Grades were the same as Big Bell.
So, NOA 7/8 fully drilled at strike of all lodes to 275 m can be ball parked as follows..
275 meters times 2650 ounces per vertical foot = approximately 700,000 ounces
Divide by 2 to be conservative and we have at least 350,000 ounces down to 275 m below 7/8 pit.
Management states that in their opinion, NOA 7/8 remains open to at least 500 m below the pit.
It will be a priority drilling target beginning in April
