Everything Is On Track For Success.Just spoke to Dr. Robert I. Valliant CHAIRMAN of NewOrigin Gold Corp. at 905-727-1779. He confirmed with me that the drills are on they way and will be set up and drilling the North Abitibi Project in Canada’s prolific Abitibi Greenstone Belt within the next few weeks or so. He was confident and confirmed that the company is strong and everything is going front in the right direction. The guy is very much a gentleman and incredibly knowledgeable. He has spent decades now exploring, developing and been part of a number of successful mines in Ontario and Quebec. He knows exactly what the potential of these projects have with the ability to be successful. I like this guy and I feel we are in good hands both management wise and project wise. Overview
- Located 40 km west of the Casa Berardi Mine on the Casa Berardi Fault
- High-grade gold intersected in multiple near-surface zones in historical drilling.
Located in northeastern Ontario, the North Abitibi Project is a 10-kilometre (“km”) long property that covers approximately 4,240 hectares (“ha”) in Canada’s prolific Abitibi Greenstone Belt, where over 200 million ounces of gold have been discovered and produced. The Property straddles the Casa Berardi Break approximately 40 km west of Hecla Mining Corp.’s Casa Berardi Mine and 50 km south of the Detour Lake Mine, operated by Kirkland Lake Gold Corp.
Limited historical shallow drilling has traced gold mineralization for approximately 3 km of total strike. Gold mineralization has been drilled to a depth of 150 metres (“m”). Historical drilling included: 6.1 grams per tonne gold (“g/t Au”) over 6.0 m and 17.8 g/t Au over 1.6 m.
Recent work completed by NewOrigin Gold includes a deep Induced Polarization (“IP”) survey, which has identified deeper targets of potential gold mineralization, starting below 200 m from surface.
