$1 Billion U.S. Market Cap Achieved......?

The TMX Money website has NFG's market cap at $1,283,640,446 CDN.

At today's exchange rate of $1.00 U.S. = $1.23 CDN, it looks like NFG's market cap has hit $1 Billion U.S.

Why is this important?

If NFG is able to following through on getting its shares listed on the NYSE American, I suspect hitting the $1B U.S. threshold will generate even more interest from the American investment community.

Yet another factor going NFG's way: the Canadian dollar has appreciated in value vs. the U.S. dollar recently, so NFG's Canadian-dollar market cap gets an extra boost when coverting to U.S. dollars.

Let's hope the Canadian dollar and NFG's share price can maintain their current strength so NFG can stay above $1B U.S.

Remember the takeover of AREQUIPA RESOURCE by BARRICK IN 1996 AT $27.00 per share after its gold discovery in PERU. NFG should repeat this event after the well anticipated merger with LABRADOR GOLD!  This morning, I added to my large position in LAB!

Well Royal I do remember and have been to Arequipa, I also remember the other queen of diamands and how she lost 6 of her friends in a plane crash. American Barrick (then) was an established miner. We are not ,my goodness fellow we are an explorer that has not even been listed a year. Your analogy falls short on so many levels.  LAB's land position was largely explored by Sean Ryan ...more

Hey ike it was 2800 see below.  You are making my job more difficult if I have to keep correcting you. Lol  Greg Matheson, PGeo, chief operating officer of New Found, stated: "The outstanding intervals of 131.1 g/t Au over 4.65 m plus 124.4 g/t over 17.7 m in hole NFGC-20-59 yield the highest width by grade of any hole to date at Keats (cumulative over 2,800 m by g/t) ...more

Rumours of NFG buying out LAB. It might happen. See if they run some good gold numbers first. I'm thinking NFG will own it all eventually and takeout LAB, SIC, NFLD and whoever else gets in their way. The boys at New Found Gold are building an empire!!!
Comment by freemax1 on May 05, 2021 11:56am
Megacopper ! exactly what I am thinking !  Certainly NFG has a plan to unify all the Co.s under  their umbrella BUT they will have first to STOP the ES-KL plan trying to control by BIG inv. it was what they did with WM & Balmoral now WM will be a takeout by KL at cheap ! SO NFG will have to take time for next financing = drilling + drilling = cash will come from little investors !!!! ...more

LAB: My guess is the only company NFG would be interested in eventually acquiring is LAB, and that is provided LAB can produce assay results along their portion of Appleton Fault that are similar to what NFG has already produced (or if NFG can obtain LAB at a really good value re. takeout price). Another clue re. my LAB acquisition theory would be that, in addition to Eric Sprott, other NFG ...more

Your guessing as you call it is extremely self serving for someone that obvioulsly has a position in LAB. Used car salesman just cannot help themselves they gotta make a sale. Why not at least come off like a Russian ...LAB GOOD.....everyone else BAD It is more honest IKE
Comment by GreekGoldGuy on May 05, 2021 6:25pm
Ike, the Greek owns them all, including Exploits and K-9. No one will get bought out, uuntil they prove that they have the goods. SIC is way ahead on that one. I am sure that NFG will keep a close eye on all of them and they may very well bounce on,  more than one of them down the road. But by then NFG may be owned by Newmont of Barrick. Then, they will be the ones buying up the piss ants ...more

GreekGold dude I agree. So many ways it can go yet. With such a tight float and so few holding all the cards it is them that are really  calling the shots as to what will happen. Would really like if Newmont and Barrick both came a knocking and were told to take a flying leap. The thing is QH has said there will probably be 3 or 4 mines before it is all over. Gotta think someone's ...more

The first day of trading was August 11th (today), and "New Found Gold Corp. Fortunate as well, started buying at 3 bucks.....but have kept buying. This is a fortune maker for those who have patience. Guess by end of summer? I say 15 bucks.
Comment by megacopper on May 05, 2021 11:59pm
Excellent guess. I'm going to say NFG hits $18 for a high by the end of summer if not much sooner.

likeike, if you have rational counter-arguments to make regarding my statements, by all means go ahead and make them - that is what these BBs are for. However, if your last post is any indication, you don't have any, so, as usual, you just make random statements containing accusations and/or attack people. FYI, I have no position in LAB, just making what I believe to be reasoned argument re ...more

Wow likeike, how deep a hole are you planning on digging yourself during this exchange....?.....pretty soon we won't be able to see you down there.   You are incorrect. New Found Gold and Eric Sprott are interested in all of the above. Wait and see. Yes LAB is the main target for now. But SIC and NFLD have great ground as well and New Found Gold does indeed want more prospective ground and they will be investing in these companies going forward. Like I said before the New Found Gold guys are building an empire. They don't want to ...more

mega, we shall see, but I doubt it. I believe NFG (after drilling the heck out of their target areas along their two faults) will either sell to major gold producer(s) for a significant premium to whatever NFG's share price is at the time (my personal preferred option), or raise money to build a mine (Keats?) which may rival (surpass?) Swan in terms of a very-low AISC and thus very high ...more

What is going on is that between Palisades (Collin Kettel) Eric Sprott New Found Gold and Quinton Hennigh (Novo) they will have control (greater than 50% ownership)  of these companies. Hence the reason NFG gave up the Jonathan's Pond property for a chunk of shares to own 9.8% of NFLD. I bet you the next financing that NFLD does NFG will increase their ownership further. Why do ...more
Comment by AlwaysLong683 on May 06, 2021 4:05am
mega, I believe the reason NFG took NFLD shares for the Johnathan's Pond claims is because: 1) NFG had no interest in drilling there anyway given they have numerous other areas on their property that are MUCH more promising. 2) NFLD can't afford to pay cash for those claims, so NFG took NFLD shares instead, will let NFLD go at it at that site and elsewhere, and get part of the benefit ...more
