Testing methods

I agree that this at first glance doesn't look good. It seems these early high test results may not stand up to scrutiny. Do I have this right?
This comment in the PR makes me nervous. What does it refer to?
  • If testing program one does not indicate a bias between the labs, then the bias is likely to have been introduced during the sampling of the core in the core yard.

They are being honest up front.  The first batch of 30 did not meet expectations.  They are now trying to find the problem(s).  Ideally, you want all of the data points along the line.  You want the different methods yielding the same results. The core is split in half or in some cases sawn in half.  There can be a tendancy to send the better looking half in for assay ...more

Yeah, I always wondered how the decision was made as to which half of the ciore to assay and who made the decision. If the half core is not selected blindly there will be bias. But then again a good looking core may not be the best one. So  whole core assaying is the way to go.
