Regarding the ATM

What happens if the buying stops, and nobody steps up to the plate to support the stock.

Will the price simply drop till it reaches a palatable level for some?

If this is the only way to raise funds, brother, I think we are in trouble.

Creating value and taking appropriate actions to ensure that such created value converts to liquidity and price enhancement for shareholders  is managements first priority ...but that does not seem to be the case. The ATM basically absolves  management from responsibility for the share price....the results are obvious..fake volumes and sequential roll back of price suppport for good ...more

Sounds to me that everything is setting up for a buy in or buy out with the trenches and deep drilling entering another phase, the project is so valuable and  large NFG needs big money to ramp things up and expedite development be it production and exploration. Eric Sprott is the single largest shareholder and I doubt having spent so much money that he wont be pivotal in what happens next.

Lundin Mining and BHP buying Filo for $4.1 billion CAD is a positive development. The Victoria Gold disaster and Snowline's native problems have cast a pall over that play. Things are looking up for NFG.  Money is coming back to the junior market and the number of big gold discoveries available for purchase is few and far between. I doubt that Eric will sell for a loss.  What is ...more

Before Eric transferred shares to daughters and donation to Family Foundation, he held I believe 56 million shares which represented 31% of O/S at that time, so his breakeven is very easily to calculate given he invested $260,000,000 in total!  Thus, $4.64 at that time.   It would not deviate much from that as he has only purchased maybe 1 or 2 million shares since those transfers ...more

Found it on Sedar 2024/08/02  the Company may, from time to time, sell securities described in this prospectus in one or more offerings up to an aggregate offering amount of US$300,000,000.

Yeah, but they won't be selling at the weekly lows, but the peaks which in turn could help keep shorters off ou backs ;) Imagine even more Buccs and EKs??
Comment by bull_runz on Aug 04, 2024 2:26pm
Plus, $300M should cover most of the drilling and part of the mine/s prep still to be done :)
Comment by alwil106 on Aug 04, 2024 2:36pm
That's US$300m, Nozz was right, closer to C$400m. Curious what they're going to spend it on apart from the obvious.

When you have mines coming that will output billions of dollars worth, of minerals, this is 'chump change',  I held shares in the The Lumwana Copper/Gold Mine before Barrick bought it, before it produced it's first 'pours', and look at it today.  One of the biigest Copper/Gold mines in the world and expanding! ;)  "Don't worry, be happy" with our ...more

It would be possible for NFG to engage in promotion to institutional investors.....even overseas, such as Germany, Austria, or in Asia, such as Singapore. They could use the ATM to sell shares to them. Also, I wonder if NFG could engage in a buyback program of their own shares to support the share price, as a counter to Shorting activities.
