Rick Rule's thoughts

I respect Rick but this is certsainly  unnerving.

Rick says: "A string of small deposits - no contiguous deposits, several maybe 200K deposits"- "not a shareholder". That's what struck me when I looked at the 43-101 a little closer - the great number of these surveys, soil samples, chip samples, even drilling of the many target areas showed 99+% of results less than a gram or half a gram or even just trace amounts of gold ...more

The Queensway property is 60 Km North to South with 120 Km of fault strike length.  Of course most of the results are negative.  Newfoundland is not made out of gold! As retail investors we have no info as to who might be interested or at what price or under what conditions.  The only fact we know is that no deal has been announced to date. If you are looking for a mine to invest ...more

He said a string of pearls several 200 oz deposits close to surface that he isn't a shareholder and likes to get into something that hits a big single deposit on previous comments he said he likes to get into  companies in the earlier stage before their IPO or on financing that gives great terms that he wasn't invested in newfound gold but his old boss was and he has been extremely ...more

What are analysts  predictions for year end share price  for NFG.  Are they expecting some events .

If Fosterville style orogenic epizonal type of deposits is what we have in mind here, then eventually we will find that big mother lode for each zone, as in Fosterville in Victoria, Australia. Mind you, as an Australian who happened to own shares well before the discovery of Swan Zone, I was told the company had been drilling for more than 20 years before the discovery of the mother lode. Well ...more

We have already found the Fosterville mother lode in four zones already, except a lot larger.
Comment by Patient1nvestor on Aug 26, 2024 5:48am
Yes, the difference is that Forsterville had been a mine in production when they found the high grade mother lode.

We should respect Rick Rule as much as we can respect a stock analyst and brocker. He is no geologist, and he gets very little to no input from decent geologists. On the other hand, NFGC's heavyweight shareholder Eric Sprott has been having world-class geologists on staff or on advisory board, such as Q. Hennigh.

The GGG is having a tough time trying to decide who he respects the least, Crux, Rick Rule, the Buccos or EvenKeel/Aardvark.  GGG here,  garbage is garbage

" I hate the valuation relative to the value" Rick Rule Link He has proven to be correct. so far.  Why doesn't Eric respond?????
Comment by nozzpack on Aug 28, 2024 1:16pm
Very shallow evaluation without analytical basis. Just an opinion. And no mention of those Deep discoveries . So that interview was done in 2021 ?
Comment by cybercanuck on Aug 30, 2024 3:34pm
Eric appears to be agreeing with Rick at depth " ... but they didn't find the quite the grade and widths that ...  "  Link

nfg just published the results of a couple of deep drill holes.  Nobody expect them to hit a homerun with the first drill. By the way Rick never refered to the deep drilling....he didnt give much insight anyway why he thinks as he thinks.   By the way Eric is investigating why there is so much shorting and for what reason.
Comment by Retiredgeo on Aug 30, 2024 4:17pm
The first deep drill holes were not follow up on any particular zone.  Their purpose was to prove that the gold bearing structures existed at depth.  They have a lot more deep drilling to do to extend known zones to depth.
