grover11, The announced 100% tariff on China manufactured and imported buses, trucks and cars (Tesla vehicle products manufactured in China are not going to be entering Canada anymore) is a confirmation that Justa Trudeau directly takes his marching orders from the U.S. Just watch what the Chinese leadership does next, in terms of graphite anode component materials export policy. Perhaps a ...more

This would be fantastic for all the graphite players especially for NGC. Give me a break only NOU is being contacted. I'm sure you are in the know, spewing more bullcr@@p I see. All it would take is something like this to put a fire under all those companies still buying from China. Finally our government grew some ba@@ls. If these tariffs do in fact take place in October the sector will light ...more

Harley103, As I said, it's unlikely that NGC and the NGC.V share price could benefit once those tariffs are introfuced during October. I full well expect that Nouveau Monde Graphite is going to now be placed center stage within North America especially and necessarily provisioned hundreds of millions of dollars worth of grants, loans.credit facilities, direct investment by and on behalf of ...more

1student, You make a strong argument. However some of it involves conjecture. Up to now,  even with all the bluster from either side, nothing has stemmed the flow of battery materials coming into North America from China. This may all become a mute point, since I saw an announcement today that the Japenese are introducing new hydrogen technology into the picture. The article stated that it ...more

MaterialsMan, You stated "Up to now,  even with all the bluster from either side, nothing has stemmed the flow of battery materials coming into North America from China." Yes. That is precisely what the U.S. and Canada situated automotive manufacturers and their respective battery cells manufacture partners have become somwhat complacent in believing, i.e. that for two years the ...more

1student, If I understand you correctly, and I think I do, I could not agree more.

Yes. MaterialsMan. I expected you could entirely agree. Thanks

I'll agree with you on one matter, our beloved CEO must go and I don't care if he steps down or is removed. On the looming trade wars not as much. Yes North American and EU member states will have to scramble to get their critical mineral supply chain up and running a bit quicker than expected but don't be fooled they will ramp up. China relies on exports so who's economy will ...more

Harley103, As I discussed with MaterialsMan, for now the critical minerals comprised battery component materials are still flowing in support of the existence of a nascent North American battery materials supply chain. There will be a scheduled interval during which the flow of such critical minerals comprised battery component materials would become representative of a piece moved forward upon ...more
