For Profit Nursing - National News

For profit nursing agencies were highlighted on Global National News this evening.. they did not paint a very rosy picture for the business model.

The Quebec government couldn't compete with these agencies which is why they had to make policies to try and kill the business model. So far, it's only socialist Quebec and there are no indications that the rest of the provinces will follow suit. The story you're referring to is this. I do not know what you mean that it does "not paint a very rosy picture". It paints a very realistic picture the current problem with nursing shortage and retention not only across this country but in most western nations as well. The story states this problem will require "long term solutions". This is why I'm betting on V ...more

The Quebec government might force Bill 10 through and to be enforced, but I'll take the bet that the rapid loss of nurses simply quitting the system all together will mean this gets delayed and eventually abandoned.
