SiPho versus EML and what Customers Want
Didn't Poet transition away from SiPho to EML as that is what the big customers want ? Didn't Poet lose a lot of time in SiPho which was probably a great contributor to the share price decline in addition to very poor capital markets in 2023? Despite all of Poet's progress, did it not find itself in an ocean where different standards were trying to surface? Ultimately, the large global customers dictate the standard they wish to have. Did not Poet shift away from SiPho and moved to what these customers wanted (EML)?
At the recent OFC, weren't those that attended for themselves and saw what Poet had brought to the party attracted greater reaction from the I.T. community than ever before? Would the Foxconn design win corroborate that?
Don't you think Global Foundaries via the return of Vivek Gupta are probably working towards something completely different than what Poet is now doing with its current customers? Perhaps they are working on more efficient ways for their customers needs?
Remember Poet solutions are done a new way (the wafer level). Are others doing that? Who do these Poet customers (Luxshare and Foxconn) sell to? is Apple and NVIDIA Poet's customers' customers?

This post pretty much sums it all up. We're onto the EML 800, 1.6 and soon 3.2T. Don't forget the light sources, those are going to prop this up big time!

Thank you. Yes, the light source innovations seem that they will also be quite disruptive. Again this demonstates how flexible and scalable Poet's platforms are, imo. gilver
