This MMCAP stuff is Probably Part of the financial Ecosystem where Poet is at in this moment in time. This has me recalling the comment of several years ago when Poet sought a Nasdaq listing. Going to the Nasdaq and striving for American institutional investment comes at a price. Poet seems to now be beyond then penny stock, private placement financing tool. Those financings are high risk and come at a higher cost.
Poet has seemed to evolv beyond private placement financings where now Institutional investment has taken over. So their palms get greased as par for the cours, but at least Poet 's share price is in a trend of higher lows gravitating eventually to higher highs in the financing cycle they are currently in.
Just sayin'

I still want to know why the first financing after Nasdaq listing was 9 months later while the stock price steadily declined over the period. Fire the finance dept.

Here is why. Poet bought a lottery ticket. They figured if they won, they would never have to raise cash again. Solid reasoning for this management. Its not just the finance dept. its the whole management. The buck stops at the top. And the top alone is responsible, esp if they never fix anything.
