Right you are. Offshore is th way every thing will be going. Wyn? 1) no costly lines to build through tough terrain. 2) security. Offshore can be more easily defended with less manpower and cost. 3) Huge storage facilities are not needed saving security and storage costs. Tankers can easily pull in and out like we go to petro stations. 4) Less environmental concerns and thus less risky ...more

remember this? What Happened? On March 24, 1989 the oil tanker Exxon Valdez ran aground in Prince William Sound, Alaska, spilling 11 million gallons of oil. The ecologically sensitive location, season of the year, and large scale of this spill resulted in one of the largest environmental disasters in U.S. history.

Let us remember we can not condemn a whole industry because of one or two disasters. Did Captain Smith sinking the Titantic stop the luxury liner business? Did the captain of that billion dollar luxury liner grounding it off Italy sink the cruising industry? And did the drunken captain Joseph Hazelwood who grounded the Exxon Valdez derail the tanker business? And I could go on and on.   ...more
