calculation on CEO salary and value of share buy back

Here is a good insider trade info https://stockhouse.com/companies/insiders?symbol=v.rht

Salary 247543*4 years =990172*45% tax=445577
value of buyback : 232770+ options exercised 224000=456770

CEO spent 456770 - net income 445577=11191

This calculatoin indicates CEO's  4 years net income of salary cannot even cover the value of share back. she spent from March 2022 to Jun 2023.

correction : total income 990172 - tax 445577 = net income 544595. - 456770 = 87825. This calcalation indicates CEO spent close to 4 year net income to have bought back shares.

This is viewed as going to an extra mile to defend the CEO.... Fine, but still keeps us shareholders in the dark as to why the stock sp retreated and keeps being frozen around 0.51 CAD in low volumes. so close to the next earnings report on June 30. This should be a great concern to the ones with more than 100k shares in the event they would like to sell....so let's hope real positive news are ...more

I've said this before. Look at ALL those payments to related parties, mainly Crossley and her co-director> Fees for acconting to latter maybe be warranted but any CEO does not deserve $1/4MM or more for such capital destrucion over many more than 4 years.  And all those options to insiders and consultants, when latter might also be insiders...yet no expected option numbers on SEDI. I ...more

You do realize that the issuance/conversion of those options provided the company with sufficient cash to keep operating, where the alternative would've been to fundraise at a discount, right? You do realize that options aren't free and those recipients had to pony up there own money to buy shares, right? And, with this CEO, the company has survived long enough for you to consider an ...more

You are right in so many ways. They issue multi-millions of options to 'employees and consultants' at a strike price that has managed to get in the money, then exercise options, (we see numbers in financials) but then what do they do with the shares. I've said this before, I see little on SEDI to see what they do with the options and shares. I did see Crossley in the market recently ...more

Personally, I dont' think the CEO's salary is excessive.  Regardless of what anyone's opinion is on this, buying shares in the company with her own money can only be regarded as a positive.  If you were a scammer ripping off big bucks from the investing public, would you turn around and invest your whole salary in said company?  Not a chance.  And, would you ...more

Yes. Glad I made you look and report. NOw, 2.8MM were from options and warrants and the like at average cost of ~$0.30 and the rest is the ~300,000 I referred to before, made in the past 9 to 10mths aver cost about $0.50. Is anyone else acquiring shares in size from options or market? So, CEO owns ~3.3MM shares at average cost about ~33cents That 300K  market acquns had me baffled as thought ...more
