Thanks for the post. Interesting about the copper junior miners. I thought it interesting that he thinks it will take until 2017 for copper supply and demand to come back in line and juniors are going to have to be well funded to wait it out. Now would not be a good time to sell a discovery. Proving up more reserves while waiting for a better M&A envirement probably would be in the best ...more

I understand that there were meetings in London a couple of weeks back that went very well, with both sides keen to get an agreement in place very quickly, so I would expect something to be done sooner rather then later, and if a deal could be done by the end of August, there would still be 3 months of drilling happening this year.  I don't agree that Freeport is goign to slow down on ...more

thorgb1 did you get any info on the Freeport contract at the Sprott conferrence? From what I heard it sounds like there interested in getting the contract done but they are wanting terms that are not in our best interest. Seems to me they are trying to take advantage because we are a small explorer. This feels like a Mexican standoff at this point. I hope Freeport flinches first!

The last I heard, there were meetings in London in mid-June, and both Freeport and RMC made concessions with the goal of getting an agreement in place. My understanding is that both parties were optimistic that an agreement could get done in 30-60 days. Previous to this, it was related to me that the parties were far apart, and that an agreement was not going to happen anytime soon, so the word ...more
