previous drilling on Catharine

Finished going through the several previous drilling programs ( 1980 -  2009) at Catharine.  Complicated!  - but two points are critical . You must have Fuchsite ( green iron carbonate/ fuchsite schists) and anywhere from 1 - 20% pyrite ( sulphides) .The more the better. Second - you must follow the IP geophysics. This somewhat worked in pevious programs . Finally the ammended 43-101 report suggested lack of complete assaying . Large important geological sequences were ignored . Case in point -  large tracts of Fuchsite / chloritic schists that  are known to carry  significant gold. ie. Hole Cat 09 -01 -  76.1m  , Cat 09 -11 -  27.35m and Cat 09-13 -  21.55m  were not assayed . Hopefully the company will assay similar rock assemblages if encountered! There was the potential to have missed  significant gold mineralization in the past. Also need a map showing the locations of previous drilling programs with the current drilling program! That would really help.

Otherwise waiting for more news - it is just beginning   Cheers

No I'm not a geologist. Had a little prospecting experience. The rest of my knowledge is from reading and looking at maps. a) In reference to Geology Map 2043, I notice a large easterly 'bow in the NS trending gabbro/diorite, which is located just to the north of the Catharine south boundary. At the apex of this 'bow', the gabbro has been pinched out. This area is south and off the ...more

If you look at the Vertical Gradient Map, there is a short, flanking, high intensity magnetic anomaly that is located on or very close to the EW fault, where the 72 inch wide quartz vein is located. It's located about 400m east of Target D. It's also located on or near the contact with gabbro/basalt.
