Imperial Mining Group Ltd (TSX-V:IPG, OTCQB:IMPNF) CEO Peter Cashin tells Proactive's Stephen Gunnion that the company is moving towards a feasibility study for its Crater Lake Scandium-Rare Earth Project in Quebec following a positive preliminary economic assessment earlier this year. Cashin explains that in order to convert inferred reserves to indicated reserves the company completed work this summer, and investors should watch out for some surprises as the results are released to the market. In the meantime, Imperial Mining has filed for a provisional US patent as it develops a cost-effective and efficient metallurgical process for scandium, which is considered a critical mineral. "We've attracted about $3 million in research and development grants from Federal and Provincial authorities, mostly to help us advance the technology developing new alloys and applications for those alloys," Cashin added.
