Halt

How long can they hold this stock from trading ? Is there a limit ? This goes on for way too long without any updates.

They have to file NI43-101's, did you not read the recent PR?   Here it is again  Santacruz Update Report on Stock Halting V.SCZ | 7 days ago Vancouver, British Columbia--(Newsfile Corp. - October 28, 2021) - Santacruz Silver Mining Ltd. I believe that the opening will only be in early 2022. Let's be patient. Nice upside opportunity lost if silver continues to perform.

Why stop at 2022?  Let's take it all the way to 2025 and really give people something to panic about, eh?    Given your track record as evidenced by this risible little knee-slapper .... maybe you should quit now before you get any further behind.

I'm predicting trading to start during the first week of December (2021).  This is based on Arturo's comments, plus 2 weeks of slippage.

It all comes down to how fast Garth Kirkham can get acceptable NI43-101's filed.  That's it. From the Oct 13 PR  "The Company has retained Mr. Garth Kirkham, P.Geo., who is a Qualified Person as defined by NI 43-101, to review the disclosure of the Company's historical mineral resources and reserves. Mr. Kirkham is an employee of Kirkham Geosystems Ltd. and is ...more

Shabby treatment of shareholders.  We are now in the second month of a halt pending regulatory hoops and hurdles.  Paperwork that should have been done before deal was announced. After the halt is lifted we still will be in the dark until next April/May'June when Q1 production and then earnings are released.

the co. usually have their 43-103 reports on hand. wierd....

These are for the Glencore properties they're buying.  Glencore never performed NI43-101's because they're not beholden to any Canadian regulator, they don't trade directly on any Canadian market.
Comment by CountOfMeltedCrisco on Nov 10, 2021 10:49am
Tell all of us how one does "paperwork" on a property they hadn't yet bought and thus hadn't gotten the technical details from Glencore?
Comment by jcw604 on Nov 16, 2021 6:09pm
They are producing mines without an up-to-date ni43-101. It doesn't mean that you cannot sell them, or buy them simply based on the historical track records. The tsx rule requires those documents to be available before the unhalting of the stock to protect the investors. I think SCZ's move is risky, because those mine could be close to their end of life and the historical track record ...more

The LSE, for instance, accepts CPRs, Qualified Person's Reports (QPRs), and Mineral Resource Statements, compiled using JORC, SAMREC and SAMVAL, or NI 43-101, when accompanied by a NI51-101 Valuation Form, for listing on the LSE. Appearantly, different exchanges have different acceptable technological documents.

It is nice to see silver at $24.60 and zinc at $1.50. I think silver will be range bound $22-$28 and any breakout, if/whenever it comes, will likely be to the upside. At $1.50 a pound there is not a zinc mine in the world that is not wildly profitable. All boding well for a gap to the upside when scz resumes trading. Cheers.
