Press release

Hole 22-30 supports the model that the Valley intrusion is zoned with a depleted inner core and an enriched outer ring.  It is possible that the granitoid body has been overturned since emplacement and mineralization and only part of the outer ring has been preserved.  This would explain why all of the higher grade gold is only on one side of the intrusion.

The Gracie intrusion is fully preserved and represents an even bigger exploration target.

It is a damn shame that so few care in today's market!!!

while you feel the target may be bigger, do you think there is potential for similar grades at Gracie (and close to surface)? thanks

They still haven't found the granitoid yet so it's hard to say.  The baked hornfels around it says it's similar, not far away and fully preserved.  How much hornfels is on top of it is still an open question.  The beauty of Valley is that a major can start mining and milling it right away.

I think the Valley intrusion is just eroded more on the top and perhaps only the western part is exposed at surface.  And I don't think they can properly drill the eastern half of it because of the steep topography due to the hill. I'd say that hole 30 was collared part way up the hill because it was stepped back 301 meters from hole 26. It didn't encounter mineralization until ...more

They could turn the drills around 180 degress if they wanted to.  Holes 8,11,13 and 17 say there isn't much to the NE.  Today's hole confirms that best is to the SW (hey, that rhymes!).

Yes for sure the best part of the intrusion is towards the west. I know the grade appears lower in the holes you mentioned but the orientation of the veins and the angle that they are drilled is crucial to getting a good understanding of the intrusion. I thought QH said they couldn't drill at the proper angle relative to the orientation of the veins due to the hill along the eastern edge of ...more
