Sokoman Minerals Corp > Question ?

Question ?

It seems to me that a lot of gold will be found in that central  area of  Newfoundland now that there is intense exploration activity . Also , given the relatively close proximity between all the various land claims it stands to reason that consolidation should happen .

Given that MOZ is  now well,on the way to being a mine ( let's assume that happens)   is it likely that
both SIC and NFG will develop  separate mines if the gold is there in enough concentrations for production or is a buy out more likely for one or the other ?

All a bit speculative , I know at this stage , but I was curious to hear some thoughts .

Thanks

I think that NFG will be a mine, with such grades and meters ounces are adding quickly  now its a question how many oz will be there, party is starting at 5 M Au oz, at such large resource mayor companies are coming to buy property, look at company website what are plans, history of mgmt, for SIC its best to sell Moosehead as mgmt doesnt have experience in mining, contracting some company to ...more

666999, Yes, NFG may eventually get too expensive re. market cap + buyout premium for any one company to swallow. One possible alternative is to perhaps have two large gold producers acquire NFG and split the spoils - say one takes Queensway North, the other Queensway South, and then decide on Lucky Strike, perhaps with one company paying a greater portion of the total price than the other given ...more

As I said it depends what will final resource be and at what grade, there are companies that can buy such Mkt cap, but party begins at 5 M Au oz, big names will have to replenish their resources, takeovers are happening right now, or big names invests in juniors, like Rio tinto, BHP, Barrick, Teck... There is no such thing as a "final resource'. That will take a decade or longer to determine. Do not count on NFG selling anytime soon. When companies are sold, they are sold with defined resources + exploration potential. This fricken strike length and depth will take years to full drill out. I had a look at the drill map in the last PR. You want my rough and dirty calculation just on ...more

Overvalued, thats on investors to say, I dont know NFG good and share price is too high for my taste  What I know NFG wants piece of the pie in other projects around him, thats why company invests  in plays around him, maybe they want to hold all properties, which is a smart move  This is a reason why Mkt cap has gone up on companies around him  Is their Mkt cap too high ...more

Thanks everyone, for your responses to my original post. your insights are appreciated !, NfG flew through my radar screen quickly  about a year ago and I just didn't focus  on it . Nickel and palladium were of greater  interest at that time . Of course it soon caught on fire and SP quickly jumped to a value that I wasn't interested in .   after some research I ...more
