I had some friends that lived there years ago . They call it the desert of Canada. Supposed to be a really pretty spot . I live in Bobcageon. You know the song by The Tragically Hip . Anyways, long and strong my friend.

Penticton is not a desert. Osoyoos is the only legitamite desert in Canada, it goes by rainfall. I actually just came from there as I have belonged to  the Osoyoos Desert Agility Dog Club for over 10 years now. (ODAD club) Osoyoos often is the hottest place in Canada and Penticton is known as the Florida of Canada. I prefer it to the Hub of the Kawarthas though I have never been there

Now your talking Flyby ...if you can't stand the heat get out of the valley. My biggest killer is still the pollens you have to endure for living in the  Valley of Eden. Oliver is the only city in BC  where the predominate language is not english. IKE
