seems like a no brainer with a 150 million mine and mill already established ready to operate fully in 2025.  No waiting for ten years or so.

I've taken a beating on this in the last two weeks, but I think the economic environment surrounding this sector changed dramatically for the better as of yesterday. PMs and PM mining stocks will be in demand as the fates now appear to be standing on the breaks of the US economy.

Fears of a nationalization of mining in Mexico are overblown. While the recent election will soon put a socialist at the head of state, she is wise enough to understand how destructive it would be to the economy to nationalize mining. In any event, it can not happen overnight, nor even in the next few years. Meanwhile, mining stocks focusing on Mexico are suffering because of fear. What to do ...more

As of today, I am down about 50 percent on this issue because a Socialist was elected president of Mexico. The market is behaving as if she were an elected dictator. This is not the case. After she takes office, assuming she tries to nationalize mines there, she must convince the legislature to support the move. I don't see this as likely. Oddly enough, Silver Storm and Aztec Mining are doing well (for now), while their peers in the sector started strongly today but are failing now.  VP in AZ

I lost the citation, but last week, I heard that Claudia intends not to nationalize mining in a broad sweep of the industry. Instead, she will let mining districts decide whether or not they want to be taken over by the government (assuming the legislature agrees}. Indeed, this does not eliminate country risk but does lessen it.  I'm holding, watching. VP in AZ
