Any one heard of any impending legislation that is harmful to the mining industry as a whole, or it is always something to come in general, like more environmental requirements and carbon restrictions?

British Columbia’s current NDP government has strong union ties and support.  They are mining friendly with lip service paid to environmentalists from their urban left support.  Oil and gas can expect a rough ride, mines, especially copper or gold, will be supported provided they aren’t right in a sensitive ecological area or on top of traditional aboriginal occupation areas.  The ...more
