TVI Pacific Inc > Why sell now?

Why sell now?

I'm amazed that anyone would sell shares at this time.  How can the asks be at 0.03 when the news keeps getting better and better?  You can sense something HUGE coming.

Can anyone put forth some information on what it would look like if TVI became the producer of King King?  Would we negotiate for 70%? 50%?  Are there any examples of this from other mining companies?

What would that do to the share price after the IPO?

After decades of holding and believing, this might be the year that TVI finally pays off big time for many longterm shareholders.

I wasn't kidding when I suggested Villar wants to be the "Pierre Lassonde of the Philippines", and TVI is his "Franco-Nevada"  vehicle to do that.  We're almost at the point in the mining-resource cycle where a company has to decide :  acquirer or acquired ?  TVI has to make that decision.  This suggests Villar sees TVI as a perfect ...more

Yes I agree. Maybe time for cliff to retire

He isn't going to settle for the typical gold watch, not after putting 20 years of his life into this.  We've all complained, myself included, about how slow this has been to unfold, but Cliff's Payday and ours may finally be at hand.

For over 30 years, Cliff has had a very high paying job, has way too many shares - He had lots of shares of the company that he merged with TVI - TG World or what ever it was called  brought nothing to TVI except double the number of shares and double for Cliffy too.  Nice life - living in the tropics with loads of money.  I sure didn't like when TVI gave over 2/3rds of the ...more

I purchased 4,000 shares in May of 1996 at a cost of $2.40 a share.  At the time, was thinking about buying Chrysler stock, which was around $3.00 a share.  Made the wrong choice.  We are probably not the only ones in this spot.  Have purchased some more shares, but my costs are still to high to ever make any money

I hear you. I traded this at .10-.11c a few times and made some money there, but at some point decided to hold cause I thought I'd get caught with my pants down waiting for a buy at .10 after having sold at .11 and things would have gone up with me without shares... and it went down instead. I've averaged it down to a bit over .03c a share, but have way too many shares for my liking for ...more

I think we will be just as surprised by the strength in the share price as we have been by the weakness to date.  I know it is hard to fathom emotionally, but I have see this play out time and time again.  No guarantees (there is plenty of operational, commodity, and political risk), but if we can just avoid any nasty surprises, a pot of gold of our own making awaits at the end of the ...more

Your probably right about buying more shares now, but I have 500,000 shares now, and not sure if I should put anymore into TVI.  I will probably regret my decision, but for now I'm staying put

It all depends how your are wired as an investor.  Sensible folks like you stop buying before you cross the sleeping point and move out of the sleeping zone.  Those of us too greedy for our own good buy aggressively until we reach the sleeping point and move INTO the sleeping zone.  Then we keep adding more opportunistically until it becomes a "full" 10% portfolio position ...more
