What are these DSU things VM keeps doling out?

THey been giving out millions of DSU shares for months now.  Almost as if they cannot pay the employees anymore?  Go figure.

I'm not an expert but may be able to shed some light on the question. The widely accepted practice of compensating board members with shares vice a salary is what you are referring to.  They firmly believe that their payday is coming, and if you are long and patient and also have shares in this company, then your payday is also coming.  GLTA

I think he is fully aware of that and his posts are solelyto try to influence people to sell shares cheap but in several years of trying has not learned that he is not an influencer. Maybe TikTok would be a better platform for him.

The independent board members are compensated for their time and work on a quarterly basis. They are issued Deferred Share Units, that can not be sold until after they leave the company. They issued $31,200 of shares to five independent directors, which is $6,250 per 3 months or $2,080 a month. Thats very reasonable compensation. The Officers do not get this. People need to be compensated for the work that they do. My concern is the 10% equity incentive compensation plan. I have requested clarity on two sperate occassions and have received zero response. Is management entitled to 10% of the equity as compensation on a yearly basis or is it a term compensation plan? Feedback appreicated.

Re Options: They can issue up to 10% of the equity. Based on what I have seen, the independent directors issue these options, and they have never issued 10%. The options issued in 2023 was 2,900,000 or about 1.5% of the issued shares. I am not sure how many total options are issued, but they are not blowing them out, they seem to be conserving them. This is why an independent board is ...more

biggdogg - I believe the 10% equity incentive to be incredibly excessive. Although management is currently not maximizing their entitlement, in the future shareholders could realize a 10% gain in total outstanding shares per year. IMO, shareholders should be concerned.

It's standard, all public companies have 10% option plans. It is a tool to attract talented employees. Once voy gets FC up and running, they will be adding alot of people. It's an incentive plan, hence the expiration dates on options issued. The last round had an expiration date, I don't remember what it was but I think a year or so. If management wants to excersise them, they need to ...more
