In 2023, West Red Lake Gold Mines executed an extensive drilling campaign at the Rowan Project, completing 62 drill holes covering 21,000 meters.
The focus primarily centered on enhancing data density and bolstering confidence in gold resources, particularly in the East Zone.
Notable achievements at the Madsen Gold Project include the discovery of high-grade gold intercepts and ongoing drilling activities in the North Austin Zone and Austin Zone.
Looking ahead to 2024, the company plans to continue this momentum by expanding exploration efforts with a focus on stepout and discovery drilling. This strategic approach aims to balance work between the West Zone and East Zone expansion, offering flexibility in potential development scenarios alongside the Madsen Gold Mine restart.
Exploration initiatives are targeting potential mineralization at depth, specifically in the South Austin Zone and the 8-Zone beneath the McVeigh Zone. The transition to underground drilling is expected to enhance accuracy and efficiency, facilitating effective follow-up on exploration targets.
Madsen is poised for further exploration work and metallurgical testing. These efforts aim to mitigate risks and refine project delineation, ultimately optimizing the potential for a successful mine restart in the subsequent year.
