Hello All, 

Want to share my thoughts and opinion.

I'm very conflicted right now on my short term outlet for Vicwest. 

While the shareholders rights changes announced by Vicwest does signal things in the works, why would IKO accumulate excess of 10 have to disclose for a takeout at a higher price.

If I was truly going to do a hostile bid I would stop at 9.9 and then pounce.  

I think the recent action is everyone including myself is getting excited for no reason.

But who knows!

On the day U mentioned IKO, the vol & pr spike. Some people/something happened, then came the annouce ytd. What are they ?

IKO is one of the largest manufactuers of roofing materials in the world. If you go to Lowes or HD you are probally buying IKO shingles. They have a couple factories in Canada where Vicwest HQ are. However if IKO was to hostile why would they pass the 10 percent mark and be forced to publically disclose, I think people got excited for no reason.  However I like IKO do beleive this is a 13 ...more

GM used to own 10% of most car manufacturers, but never really controlled. Will IKO make it differently ?
