Victoria Gold Corp > We want that Berm and we want it now!

We want that Berm and we want it now!

The Berm is 30% complete and everything is safe (when it freezes). ;)

Or this could be titled where’s the 4 week Berm.

Not looking at Pelly (and Hecla?), they are doing what they are contracted to do.  You’ve also got Core Geo working on installing groundwater monitoring wells, but I understand that’s not interfering with ongoing Berm works.

Did YTG not direct/imply  JM/VG to build the Berm in 4 week time frame, based on information YTG later  provided to the public in a statement  (where did the estimated time frame come from).

By now it’s probably getting to be a nice -15c or so up the Gulch with a hint of snow.

Just wait till January, if you’re not in a heated cab or in your PU listening to your square tires crunching you’re going to say why did I ever sign up for this side hustle.  Lol   Oh, now I remember for the OT++++ money.

Productivity will go way down and costs way up.  The next “draw” request by PWC to keep this open for the next period could be breathtaking .
Some links below to the actual reality about the much advertised 4 week completion of the Safety Berm.

It’ll take 4 weeks  20/09/2024

Construction of a containment berm to deal with contaminated water at the troubled Eagle mine in the Yukon should take about four weeks to complete, according to officials with the territorial government.

So now about 4 weeks later on 18/10/2024

YTG states the Berm is now 30% complete.  What happened to 100%.  Did the scope change?  Is the Berm now the new containment for the new Heap Leach? <wink, just kidding>   Is it now the mother of all Berms?  Bigger, Better, more safe? What?  Or just a lot more expensive.  ;)

And on that note one can assume the costs expended to date on the Berm will triple unless Pelly and Hecla stepped into the breach at fixed cost, not a likely event. ;)

Did YTG not direct VG to build the  berm in an implied 4 week time frame?
And now the Berm is still not complete in spite of YTG throwing millions at it and PWC’s  best effort.

Paragraph 72 and 92 in the link below  explain why the YTG 4 week period was in la la land, a fact, it turns out VG, was probably well aware of based on the refusal to comply.

This is also a good review of costs, easy search for berm, disbursements and the table on Paragraph 107 shows costs to date.

There’s $6m under emergency works, no breakout but one could assume that a good portion of that is the berm at 30% completion to date since it had priority.

And of course any comments on errors or omissions welcome.

And how's those water treatment plant upgrades going YTG?  I see not a mention in the Oct 18th YTG update about any progress on the water treatment facility upgrades so I'll take that to mean little or no meaningful progress there yet either in addtion to the mere 30% of the berm completed to date. Guess with freeze up well underway the experts working on the water treatment upgrades ...more

All of your nonstop misplaced bitterness and anger will never get your investment back.  Purchase Mirror, reflect on why the blind cheerleading of this management now and especially for years of Eagle middling well below 200k per year ounces and costly production, you said they were awesome, cost you so awesomely bad. Most so amazing when someone does not improve and change after drastic ...more

Well; Perhaps there needs to be a Class Action Lawsuit against YTG.
