Come on , the whole sector is getting demolished. The 10 year has gone from 2.85% to 3.25% in a matter of days, It's been so long since we had a bear market and rising interest rates, investors have forgotten how these yield stocks get destroyed when the 10 year rises. More pain to come unfortunately.

Valener has been dropping non stop since Dec. 2017. We need a change of management. Someone to carry the mission of becoming an important energy player on the north american market....We don't currently have THAT someone. IMO.

A change in management won't make much of a difference. Look at BMO's utility index (ZUT), it has dropped almost 1:1 with Valener. Utilities like FTS, EMA and ANQ have a strong focus on growth and acquision and have all dropped hard since December. Taking on an aggressive growth strategy in a rising rate enviornment might not be the wisest thing for management to do. Valener has ...more
