weekend summer reading

An Interesting read to add to the merger circular. just out:  Edison's Investment Research "Woulfe Transaction Implications". This is an updated article on the prospected merger of Woulfe and Almonty, with tables and numbers.  looks at possible financing scenarios and gives a perspective of what may be ahead.
Edison covers Almonty on a quarterly basis. Edison is not an independent analyst because Almonty is a client as stated in the disclaimer.  But no analyst (buy or sell side) is really independent in my opinion.  I have found Edison to be consistently fairly balanced in the analysis and with lots of data to back things up it is very interesting to read.

Commenting on steamerlane post:
I think there is a good chance the mine will be in production by early 2017.
Unlike Dundee, Almonty makes money only by selling tungsten. It will be in their interest to get the mine going as soon as practical.

To have production by early 2017 would be great, except we common shareholders don't have any information about the immediate future plans that Almonty has for WOF.So with that in mind, how can anyone say anything positive, except by speculating, and that is a shame.

Good to know that we have atleast one source for a likely outcome in terms of numbers.. However, I am keeping it simple.. We have a 3 to 5 year wait for a decent payoff here so first thing first.. I want to get a stronger company's share in exchange for WOF.V.. If it AII.V fine.. Since no one is pounding on our doors for a deal.. What I don't want is losing my stake completely waiting ...more
