Green Hydrogen

I have read a lot about how the costs of producing green hydrogen have to come down greatly. Is anyone else's concerned that the valuations being given to all these green energy companies is perhaps getting to high to quickly? At some point investors are going to stop investing based on it being a promising technology and start wanting to see results no? If some don't perform could the sector be dragged down by the losers? Have a great day all.

Given Ballard's valuation, I think XBC has a lot of runway left before bumping into that wall. Besides...XBC is not building its business on some promice, it is already delivering results

I agree was more referring to the sector as a whole than specifically xebec. Just curious if the poor performers would drag down the rest.

The sector is in its infancy - compared to traditional O&G - so although some volatility can be expected, over the long term there is a sea of positive trend to expect. As such we can't discount XBC potentially being affected by some business downturns but, all-in-all, given its broad set of verticals and global geographic exposure, the risks to XBC over the next 10 years is rather limited ...more

XBC is unique in it's business of industrial gases and cleantech (RNG / H2). It'll be profitable.  It's the "pick and axes" when it provides H2 to the fuel cell makers.  So as H2 powered vehicles become more mainstream, XBC will benefit (on site H2 generating fueling stations intially off the beaten path, but may eventually get tied to the grid). Being a supplier ...more

Producing hydrogen by electroysis at a wind or solar  farms, storing it in a container of some kind, and then transporting it to a filling station or industrial user will be a tough nut to crack.  Hydrolysis is expensive, and transport of hydrogen is difficult.   Xebec must make it common knowledge that RNG converted to Hydrogen with an on site HyGEAR unit is just as green  ...more

The future of Green Hydrogen, like everything else, will depend on cost.  Hydrolysis at a wind or solar farm is expensive.  Storage and long distance transport of hydrogen is expensive and dangerous.  Xebec with its acquisition of HyGEAR has the capability of producing on site green hydrogen with a short transport across the street to the filling station or industrial user.  It ...more
