Debenture buyer - 002 (RBC?)

Has been a consistent buyer of debentures since July I think.  Price wise doesn't mean much since they were buying then when it was 76 and now its 58.

I'm a bit confused. What is the point you are making? Someone using RBC is consistently purchasing debentures... what does that tell us though?

I wasn't making a point, I was reporting a fact. The dollar amount 002 has been buying is significant - I would say at least 50% of the purchases since then so it amounts to at least 5% of the float. The why I do not know.

Fair enough. I suppose what it does signify is someone who sees some value here. I;d be very curious to know who is doing the buying. Would this be reported on Sedar for debentures in the same way common stock is reported?

I have not seen it reported, they may not meet the levels that would necessitate such reporting or it works differently for debentures. The value is there - people can say what they will about CH, he has been a good custodian.  And the ND asset right now looks pretty good - its not getting discounted like the stuff in Canada - its the ultimate heavy oil hedge, just wish they were producing ...more
