Knowing that a mine was stopped due to an earthquake, the likelihood is possible. If it's happened, we could be out of business. Then, I don't think the risk/reward is good.

All true. But it doesn't take into account the effect of buying back shares at these prices on future dividends per share. Also debt would become recourse........greater risk.

Whether the debt is part of the agreement or the agreement debt is paid off with funds from an outside source - ie bank loan , the amount of debt on the balance sheet remains the same but by shifting
