Yes, Roxmark made its mark. As the CNQ gains some momentum, the TSX is starting to flex its muscles, suing the CNQ about "PureTrading" soon to be implemented.
I have seen some improvement in trading but still have to phone. (Got my last CNQ trade at $9.99 commission!) Tweed, the level 2 is more informative. Sorry I did not check this board sooner!
I'd like to be able to trade thru the internet, I'm not sure this will happen even with new electronic systems.

Once pure gets up and trading, CNQ will move to migrate the existing (listed) market on to the same new trading platform. that should make a difference with respect to connectivity.

the other thing that happened recently was the change to the trading rules in May, allowing more direct access by dealers. this allows the dealers to automate more of their systems, which in turn should lead towards some website development.

If you got a CNQ trade for $9.99, that's great. The brokers that are paying the flat rate pay $9.85.....you sure can't say they're overcharging you!!

    So, CNQ lives on!
Didn't know that CNQ flat rate for brokers was$9.85.
Had to phone in an OTCBB order at my broker's place. They're blocking many internet orders for OTC stocks. As I am a frequent trader, according to their rule, as long as I mention that fact when ordering, I get the 9.99 treatment. The CNQ 9.99 was a surprise. I can live with that! lol
