Reputation is an indication of your impact within the community here on Stockhouse.com. How you interact with the platform and other users determines how much reputation you gain (or lose!). Reputation is earned constantly as you use Stockhouse.com and then calculated each month. Reputation older than one year expires from your calculation so as to encourage constant participation.

When users write articles we store their current reputation against the article so that when you go back to look at an old article you can see what the author’s reputation was at the time when they wrote it.
