Irish eyes were smiling on shares of Colombian Mines (TSX: V.CMJ, Stock Forum) this St. Patrick’s Day. Its stock price popped 35% to $1.62 on Wednesday, and has gained 113% so far in 2010.

While the company did not release news Wednesday, Colombian Mines’ President Robert Carrington told Stockhouse last week that shareholders should look forward to drill results from Yarmualito and El Dovio in the near future, as well as soil geochemical sampling data from its Venecia Property about 30 kilometers north of Yarumalito and also from its NUS Project.

“We have ongoing talks with a number of companies, some are more advanced while some are in very preliminary stages (and) we have one property that will almost certainly be joint ventured in the near future,” he added.

On the Stockhouse Bullboards, meanwhile, there were rumours by two members of some involvement with a Brazilian billionaire.
