Top Bullboards post: “The(y) just closed 2.92M dollars of hard cash-in our current environment, that is a powerful statement - 100% owned 25 000 hectares of a prospective gold belt. Infrastructure very near - 100% hit rate of quartz rock so far in the first 16 holes drilled with visible gold in some holes. Head geologist of great reputation, was asked by the TSX to investigate Bre-X because he is so well regarded by authorities. He believes that the property holds 5-10 million ounces of gold. Grade to come in somewhere between 3-5 g/t, this is a low grade, very high tonnage potential. Soil Gaz Hydracarbon technique used to identify drill target has been very accurate so far with the best target, Beland, 7km away from the Timmins zone being drilled in the next 2 weeks. The potential here is for another Malartic type deposit.” From glorieux on the Golden Hope Mines (TSX: V.GNH, Stock Forum) board.

TORONTO-NEW YORK (The Canadian Press) - The Toronto stock market closed higher as good economic news from China helped curb worry that Europe's debt crisis will seriously hamper the global recovery.
The S&P/TSX composite index jumped 185.21 points to 11,635.85.
Commodity stocks led advancers after the Chinese government said exports rose 48.5 per cent in May, while its imports jumped 48.3 per cent last month.
The news was particularly welcome to investors who had grown concerned that China would inadvertently slow growth too much in an attempt to prevent its economy from overheating, thus hurting the global rebound.
Oil gained $1.10 to US$75.48 a barrel while the Canadian dollar climbed 1.21 cents to 96.97 cents US.
New York's Dow Jones industrial average surged 273.28 points to 10,172.53. The Nasdaq composite index was up 59.86 points at 2,218.71, while the S&P 500 index rose 31.15 points to 1,086.84.
