Stockhouse Canadian Small and Micro-cap Stock Report for Tuesday, January 7, 2013 VANCOUVER (SHfn) –

Lake Shore Gold Corp. (TSX: T.LSG, Stock Forum) was up 7.4% to 58 cents. The stock is reacting to news the miner announced record annual gold production of 134,600 ounces in 2013 (952,700 tonnes at average grade of 4.6 grams per tonne) at top end of company's guidance of 120,000 to 135,000 ounces.

Caledonia Mining Corp. (TSX: T.CAL, Stock Forum) climbed 4.1% to 76 cents as investors assessed the news that Caledonia’s Board of Directors has declared a dividend of $0.015 on each of the corporation's common shares issued and outstanding as of 5:00 p.m. Toronto local time on Jan. 22, 2014.

Trevali Mining Corp. (TSX: T.TV, Stock Forum) rose 3.3% to 94 cents after the exploration and development company said that ongoing mineral processing plant commissioning, and zinc and lead-silver concentrate production from its Santander zinc-lead-silver mine in Peru continues to progress well as the operation approaches full production.

Etrion Corp. (TSX: T.ETX, Stock Forum) gained 1.6% to 65 cents on Tuesday after the solar power producer announced a strategic partnership with Hitachi High-Technologies Corp., a subsidiary of Hitachi, Ltd. (HTHIY, Stock Forum), for the development, financing, construction, ownership and operation of utility-scale solar power plants in Japan.

Today, the company also reported construction at its Aguas Blancas solar project in Chile will be delayed by one year. The project is expected to sell electricity to the Aguas Blancas iodine mine in northern Chile through a 15-year take-or-pay, US dollar-denominated power purchase agreement with Atacama Minerals Chile S.C.M. The decision came after the parent company of Atacama Minerals, Sirocco Mining Inc. (TSX: T.SIM, Stock Forum), recently announced a temporary reduction in production at the Aguas Blancas mine due to softening iodine prices. Operations at part of the mine will be temporarily suspended, and the expansion of the mine will be delayed. Sirocco anticipates that operations at the mine will be restarted early in 2015.
