Kooteny Silver Inc. (
TSX: V.KTN,
Stock Forum) rose 1.4% to 39 cents Wednesday after the company said it has hit multiple high grade intersections while drilling north of its flagship Promontorio silver project in Sonora, Mexico.
Highlights from 16 additional drill holes that targeted the new La Negra Breccia silver discovery including 156 grams per tonne silver over 200 metres and 442 grams silver over 50 metres and 1,337 grams silver over 6 metres,
the company said in a press release.
Falco Resources Ltd. (TSX: V.FPC, Stock Forum) rallied 13% to 48 cents. The company moved to add some serious intellectual punch to its board when the company announced today the nomination of three new independent mining industry veterans to stand for election to its seven-person board of directors at the company's annual and special meeting of shareholders slated for December 23, 2014.
According to the news release, the three nominees include Claude Ferron, P. Eng., 30-yr veteran and former COO for Xstrata Copper, Luc Lessard, 25-yr veteran currently the COO of Canadian Malartic Partnership, and René Marion, 30-yr veteran, former president and CEO of AuRico Gold.
